Ashdown Nursing Home is on two floors with all necessary facilities, gardens and a spacious courtyard that has undergone extensive renovations in 2016: seating areas are available on both floors to allow residents the choice of quieter and more private space; the Home aims to provide person cantered general nursing care and specialist EMI nursing care to a standard of excellence, which embraces fundamental principles of good care practices that embodies choice, respect and dignity.
We all always provide the very best care to our residents so we are proud to have been awarded the current CQC status which summarises -
- People and their relatives told us they were happy living at the home and they felt safe. All people were comfortable in the presence of staff. People had their medicines administered safely.
- People were supported to maintain their health and had access food and drink based on their individual choice and preferences. People had access to a wide range of activities in the community and within the service, that reflected their specific needs and interests.
- People's privacy, dignity and rights were respected and upheld. People were supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible …………
Ashdown Nursing Home is a small homely nursing home situated in a very pleasant residential location in Worthing, 2 minutes from the Sea Front in the West Sussex county.
The Home employs an activity coordinator and hosts regular social events such as parties, barbecues and garden parties which are open to relatives, friends and the local community.
Friends and family are warmly welcomed at any time, and are encouraged to feel at home.
The staff team provide a high standard of person centred care, caring for a small group of residents enables flexibility, and residents are supported and encouraged to make daily decisions about their own care and maintain independence as much as possible.
Ashdown Nursing Home is situated in a very pleasant residential location in Worthing, West Sussex; 5 minutes driving distance from the Worthing Railway Station and 10 minutes walking distance from the Worthing town centre, and 5 minutes walking distance to the beautiful Worthing Seafront.

At Ashdown Nursing Home we have 2 lounges on the ground floor and another lounge on the first floor: there is a large dining room overlooking the courtyard, with a music system that plays various music throughout the day around the home. We have a large professional kitchen equipped to prepare all the meals fresh.
What about food and diets?
At Ashdown Nursing Home we make sure that our residents receive a good, balanced and healthy diet. For this reason we employed a professional cook who is able to meet all the needs of our residents.

At Ashdown Nursing Home we carefully prepare care plans to fulfill individual care needs; care plans are reviewed frequently and audited periodically, to maintain high standard of care.
